The Rings of Orbis

The Rings of Orbis are comprised of four planet-like rings that support a wormwhole in outerspace. Each ring is 9,848 kilometers in circumference and 32.82 kilometers wide. The rings maintain their position around the massive wormhole by floating at the natural Lagrange points created by the moons, Ki and Ta. A race only known as the Ancients built the rings and harvested the moons for its minerals and crystals. The four rings, the wormhole and the two moons are now governed by a race of alien philosophers known as the Keepers.

The time it takes for the rings to circumvent the wormhole is a little less than one earth year. On Orbis a day is called a cycle.

“Four diams make a spoke, four spokes make a cycle, four cycles make a phase, four phases make a set.” The Softwire: Virus on Orbis 1
